Missouri:  Still officially in the undecided category.  As of today McCain is ahead by 4,355, approximately 0.15%.  (McCain led by 5,868 votes on Nov 5.)  Kansas City TV station KNBC reports that the state is still waiting on official results from three of the state’s most populous areas — St Louis city and county (most populous county in the state), and Jackson county (second most populous county — Kansas City).  The Secretary of State must certify the election results by Dec 9.

U.S. SENATE

Alaska:

Most news agencies have now called the race for Begich, although these are still unofficial results.  According to Anchorage Daily News, “The only votes left to count are approximately 2,500 special absentees from people living outside the U.S. or in remote parts of Alaska with no polling place.  The state will count those final ballots on Nov. 25.”

Under Alaska election law, an automatic recount is triggered by a tie vote.  However, a defeated candidate or 10 qualified voters may request a recount if the margin of the certified vote is less than 0.5%.  (That’s about 1,490 votes at current numbers.)

Georgia:
Campaigning is in full swing for the run-off election on Dec 2.

Minnesota:
The State Canvassing Board met Nov. 18 and adopted a recount plan to be implemented Nov 19, with a goal of completing the recounting by Dec 5.

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

There are 5 house district races still undecided.

California - District 04 - Republican candidate ahead by 622 votes (0.18%) with 25,000 absentee and provisional ballots left to be counted.
Louisiana - District 02 and 04 - run-off elections in both districts scheduled for Dec 6
Ohio - District 15 - Republican candidate ahead by 149 votes (0.05%) with unspecified number of provisional ballots left to be counted.
Virginia - District 05 - Democratic candidate ahead by 745 votes, 0.23%.

Start with the basics. Keep in mind that every company has the ability to start from a new beginning. Nobody came out of it in full knowledge of how the market performs and evolves under extreme conditions. As you’ve heard it in all stock market news, everybody gets to go back to the first day. Therefore, focus on achieving short term goals that can give your company a good name and edge in the market. I would suggest trying hard to make your business unique, profitable and credible so that people will come looking for you among your wide range of competitors. Start with affordable prices, or easy-installment plans that won’t hurt even your customer’s or your company’s assets.

Fuel your business engine. If it is manpower that you lack, hire good workers that can boost your company’s performance. If it is the outdated technology that slows your production, buy a good quality facility. Maybe it is poor advertisement that led to less business profits, subscribe on reasonably priced advertising firms that offer more stable returns. Most importantly, if it’s marketing strategy that you need to improve on, start digging those success stories in the stock market news and learn from them in surviving hard falls and huge economic crisis, such as the one we are facing right now.

Keep figures your companion. If stock market news says that automobile sales are low, maybe you should consider selling your holdings there. The reason that these statistics are provided to you is for your company to make the necessary adjustments on how to sell your products and still get a good profit from it. If the materials for building construction have lowered, take it one step ahead to hedge against a further declines in the market.

Spell W-O-R-K. This means to things: keep your holdings under control with high margins, and grow out your targets for the future. Focus on reaching to other industries where it might be possible to sell your stuff. This is easier said than done, as it requires hard work to keep your manpower in the hunt for greener fields. Make extra efforts to keep your business in the loop so that more people will learn not only of your existence but your usefulness in the market as well.

Keep on your feet. Track changes according to time and necessity. Assuming that commodities have become volatile according to recent stock market news, you have to make a bunch of last-minute decisions. This means that you have to keep your marketing styles flexible, and by flexible, we mean adaptable to extreme market conditions. Take that credit crisis as the best example. You can only pinpoint which industries remained calm and which ones started plunging.
